All the best! =)

Yup just wanted to say all the best for your o level results tomorrow! :)

Anyway oh well interesting fact of the day. "When hydrogen peroxide is applied to a wound, it fizzes as oxygen is released. This fizzing action helps loosen and remove dead tissue and is not harmful." Which I found while trying to do this very strange Chem assignment... :P

MOE mind games?

In view of the upcoming release of O level results, there has been a flurry of debates among the JC1s of RJC. The issues that they were debating?

1) Date of release of results
The date of release of results was a concern among the students as the day after the release of results was declared a holiday. Thus, if the date falls on a Friday, then the holiday would be "wasted" in a sense. As till date no press release has been announced, speculations were wild and fiery.
According to a "reliable" source from MOE(another way of putting it would be like my friend's friend's mother), the results are to be out on Monday. This concurs with the general opinion of the students as it would mean a long weekend for them. My class would be exceptionally happy becoz Mon and Tues are long days ending at 4pm and 3.30pm respectively. Furthermore, it frees up time for an OG outing:)
However, according to a reliable source from RI(a certain Mrs Jasbir Koh who should be fondly remembered by the RI guys), the results would be out on Friday. She so heavily(pun) insisted on it that no one dared to doubt her. If this is true, then as 1 current RJC student candidly puts it, "I would not go for Drama Feste on Thurs coz I would be at home worrying about my result. You won't see me on Fri either coz I would be at the top of a building."

2) Brown Envelope? White Envelope?
Yes, the above is the most frequently asked question of the day as the elites of RJC tries to figure out the hidden meaning behind the colour coding of the envelopes containing the letter on JAE sent by the MOE. Whether or not MOE intended the colour coding was relatively unknown, yet as usual when there is a difference, controversy sets in. Unfortunately, there is no clear cut distinction of pattern this time, for there seem to be as many ppl who are likely to flunk getting a brown envelope as those getting a white envelope. However, still from reliable sources this time, it seemed that if u received a letter for a teachers' seminar or for the Talent Development Scheme, u should start worrying. It was rumoured that that the if u received the teachers' seminar letter, ur aggregate would be 17+ and this information was published some time this week. Sadly, I am unable to confirm this speculation for I did not come across such a publication these few days.

As a conclusion, we can see that MOE is truly a mastermind in mind games. By giving vague information like "o level results would be out end of this week to early next week" and sending envelopes in different colours, they have set the entire J1 cohort alive in flames, hyperventilating in an air-con room. Well, on an ending note, good luck for the results, (touch wood), as if u all need it, rite? :)

P.S. The author of this article received a BROWN envelope.

No one's blogging!

Me included (and except some people). Until this blogpost. :P

Anyway yep quite a lot of stuff has happened in the past couple of weeks. CNY of course and was pretty fun cause on that Friday my exclass (413!) went to one of our teacher's house and it was like a mini-reunion of sorts, and was pretty fun sitting around listening to the HC people talking about HCI with our teacher (because she's teaching in Chinese High, or rather HCI now) and just talking and stuff. :)

Then last week was quite draining... Though I realise that now every week is rather draining. Since there's Harmoc on Mondays Tuesdays Thursdays, Comp Sc on Wednesdays, mentoring on Tuesdays, and on Fridays I end school at 4pm anyway, so basically it all accumulates during the week and I end up sleeping for 15 hours on Friday night. :P (And this partly explains why I didn't go for band concert cause I was completely zonked out then.) Haha no choice really and CCAs can be pretty fun at times but sometimes I wonder how I'm going to last until May and through SYF, concert, and comp sc stuff... Oh well but there are people who're busier though. :)

Anyway someone update on outing/lunch last Friday leh! :D And blog!

Happy New Year! :)

Happy New Year everyone! :) Hope you all are having a great time now and happily enjoying yourselves! (I know I'm enjoying the food and the break. :P)

Oh well these few days have been quite good for me actually. Time to catch up on lost sleep, mainly, and well (hopefully) to start catching up on work as well! Soon, as soon as I stop procrastinating. :D Not sure if anyone saw me during CNY celebrations on Tuesday but my class girls ended up changing into our sec sch uniforms after assembly... :P

Anyway yes. OG outing? I think we were talking about going on the 18th but where and time? ECP? Or just dinner? Oh yes and Friendship Week next week! Go for inter-OG games! :)

hehe...today my class went out of school to Lido during sch hours to watch "Hotel Rwanda" Was a outing organised by our civics and econs tutor which meant that we missed our last 2 lessons to catch the movie. Was quite a nice movie and our tutor treated us to popcorn and nachos:)
Here to update on last friday...Basically i went for bridge, electronics and astro. At the bridge "supposedly" clinic, we were given a test on bidding and conventions as a try-out for the club. Luckily for my partner and I, last min mugging helped and we knew stuff like Blackwood, Stayman, Splinters, Micheal's cue bid etc. lolz... after that, I went for electronics, which was in my opinion, rather boring, so in the end I did not put my name down. Finally, after dinner, went for astro. Got into this group where half of them were from the OG Cupido....ended up playing polar bear at the specs gallery. Oh yes...tht was after a senior climbed onto the roof of the specs gallery and failed to open the door tht would allow us onto the roof from indoors....and we saw no stars tht night..sad...
Xueying, I think u did not fully understand Kiat's post. The key phrase is *read between the lines* And yes, we should decide on an outing soon, it's been ages since we interacted as an OG. Time to rekindle the flame?

guys are usually very quiet, i guess its in our nature for some. as for the great divide, i'm not so sure... anyway, next friday is holiday right, is anyone interested in an outing. (we havent yet have an outing that the OG is present as a whole) ECP sounds good, any suggestions? (i know i should have used the yahoo groups for this, but i'm lazy)
